§ Sir David SteelTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Jamaican Government over their planned resumption of the death penalty.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe Jamaican Appeal Court is still in the process of reviewing the cases of those on death row into capital and non-capital categories. Those found guilty of capital offences can appeal to a panel of Appeal Court judges. It would therefore not be appropriate for Her Majesty's Government to make representations to the Jamaican Government.
