§ Mr. StephenTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to his answer of 20 January,Official Report, column 270, what action is taken at the time to prevent a collision if a vessel is observed to be contravening the traffic separation schemes in the English channel.
§ Mr. NorrisAn identified vessel observed contravening the traffic separation scheme will be contacted and a warning broadcast made to all other traffic using the scheme. In addition, this information will be included in the routine broadcasts transmitted.
