To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will list the regional and area offices of her Department and of inspectorates and other public bodies for which she is responsible.

Regional offices of the social services inspectorate are in London; Gateshead; Leeds; Birmingham; Bristol; Manchester and Nottingham.

There are six regional outposts of the national health service management executive and they are based in Manchester; Leeds; Brentwood, Essex; Craven Hill, London; Bristol and Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

Of the Department's non-departmental public bodies as listed in the Cabinet Office publication "Public Bodies", copies of which are available in the Library, the following have regional and area offices: the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work has regional offices at Pentonville road, London; Bristol; Rugby and Leeds; the English National Board of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting has offices in London; Bristol; Sheffield; Chester and York; the Public Health Laboratory Services Board has 53 area laboratories, situated in: Ashford, Kent; Bangor; Bath; Birmingham; Brighton; Bristol; Cambridge; Cardiff; Carlisle; Carmarthen; Park Royal, London; Chelmsford; Chester; Coventry; Dorchester; Dulwich, London; Epsom; Gloucester; Guildford; Hereford; Hull; Ispwich; Leeds; Leicester; Lincoln; Liverpool; Luton; Manchester; Middlesbrough; Newcastle-upon-Tyne; Norwich; Nottingham; Oxford; Peterborough; Plymouth; Poole; Portsmouth; Preston; Reading; Rhyl; Salisbury; Sheffield; Shrewsbury; Southampton; Stoke-on-Trent; Swansea; Taunton; Tooting, London; Truro; Watford, Whipps Cross, London; Wolverhampton; the National Radiological Protection Board has centres in Glasgow and Leeds, apart from its main centre in Didcot in Oxfordshire; the mental health review tribunals have four regional offices in Nottingham; Liverpool; Stanmore, Middlesex and Surbiton, Surrey; and the Health Education Authority has other premises in Canterbury and Oxford, apart from its main London headquarters.
