§ Mr. McLoughlinAccording to the information set out in the Home Office publication "Statistics of Scientific Procedures on Living Animals Great Britain 1992", in 1992 there were 2,164 procedures involving animals for the purpose of evaluating the safety of cosmetics and toiletries. This represented under 0.08 per cent. of the 2,928,254 procedures undertaken in the year.
