§ Mr. AingerTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence which search and rescue base covers RAF St. Mawgan military operations.
§ Mr. HanleySearch and Rescue—SAR—cover for military aircraft operation in the immediate vicinity of RAF St. Mawgan is provided by the SAR bases at RAF Chivenor and RNAS Culdrose. Aircraft conducting military operations out of RAF St. Mawgan in other areas of the United Kingdom, and requiring SAR support, would be allocated resources by the rescue and co-ordination centres, depending upon the position of the aircraft, whether conditions and SAR resources available.
