HC Deb 16 December 1993 vol 234 cc891-2W
Mr. Chisholm

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is(a) the 1993–94 estimated outturn and (b) the 1994–95 planned provision of central government net capital expenditure in Scotland.

Mr. Stewart

[holding answer 14 December 1993]:The information is (a) £1,125 million and (b) £1,206 million respectively, resulting in an increase of over £80 million or 7.1 per cent.

The figures for both years exclude expenditure brought forward from previous years under the end-year flexibility arrangements. They also exclude capital expenditure funded from the European regional development fund.

The planned provision for 1994–95 is provisional since detailed expenditure allocations are subject to revision until final plans are published in the departmental report "Serving Scotland's Needs" and the supply estimates.
