Mr. Cox

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what public consultation his Department has had during the last 12 months with boroughs in the Greater London area where major road development projects are under discussion; and if he will make a statement.

My Department has included the appropriate London boroughs in the public consultations which have been held in the last 12 months on the following major road development projects: M25 Junctions 15-16 link road proposals; Heathrow Terminal 5 Access M25 Spur Road and M4 Junctions 3 to 4b improvements; A2 Kidbrooke Park Road interchange improvement; A13/A112 junction improvement; Blackwall Tunnel 3rd crossing proposal, and Heathrow Access and Southwest London Quadrant Study (HASQUAD)

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will set out the new roads building programme for the Greater London area that has been approved and for which funding has been allocated by his Department.

New starts on national road construction for 1994–95 will be announced in the new year.
