§ Mr. McLoughlin[holding answer 8 December 1993]: In relation to earth observation satellites, access for researchers at reasonable cost to data resulting from European Space Agency missions is guaranteed by the agency, of which the United Kingdom is a member. In addition, the British National Space Centre is participating in international negotiations to provide for the exchange of data for research purposes between European and non-European missions.
