§ Mr. Nicholas WintertonTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what information he has concerning the total annual consumption by the United Kingdom construction industry of(a) corrugated roofing material and (b) man-made slates; and what is the total estimated value of that consumption;
(2) if he will give a breakdown for each of the last 10 years for which figures are available of the percentage of (a) corrugated roofing materials and (b) man-made slates, used by the United Kingdom construction industry, and which were in each case made from (i) non-asbestos materials and (ii) materials including asbestos;
(3) what information he has about the reasons for the increasing percentage of total corrugated roofing materials and man-made slates which are manufactured from asbestos products; and if he will make a statement.
