HC Deb 02 December 1993 vol 233 c725W
Mr. Llew Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what amount of energy used in Wales is provided by waste-to-energy incineration plants; and what applications for such plants he is currently considering.

Mr. Redwood

The amount of energy used in Wales provided by waste-to-energy incineration plants is not readily available.

My colleague the Minister for Energy will be responsible for considering applications for such plants under the third order of the non-fossil fuel obligation which is due next year.
