To ask the Secretary of State for Health what advice has been issued by her Department to national health service employers regarding the payment of unsocial hours allowances for staff.

For staff whose pay and conditions are determined nationally, a variety of agreements have been reached for different staff groups as part of their overall pay and conditions of service package.
