Lord Trefgarne

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will state the sum of money paid to the Aviation Environment Federation by the Department of the Environment in each of the last five years.

Baroness Denton of Wakefield

The Department of the Environment offered the Aviation Environment Federation (formerly Airfield Environment Federation) a three-year grant from 1989–90 under the Special Grants Programme: the federation received £21;936 in 1989–90, £23,139 in 1990–91 and £24,528 in 1991–92. A second term of three-year grant was offered from 1992–93, initially under the Special Grants Programme, and now under the Environmental Action Fund: the federation received £25,632 in 1992–93 and has been offered £17,088 in 1993–94.
