HC Deb 29 April 1993 vol 223 c517W
Mr. Morgan

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to his answer of 20 October 1992,Official Report, columns 283–84, what progress he has made in allocating to the Welsh Development Agency (a) £16 million for land reclamation and urban property development, (b) £5 million for business support services and (c) £10 million for urban renewal joint venture schemes; how much expenditure under each of these heads has been announced and for what purposes; and what proposals he has for the expenditure of the residue.

Mr. David Hunt

Provision for the Welsh Development Agency's 18-month programme in the coal review areas announced last October has been made within the overall budget totals set for the agency, the 1993–94 figures for which I announced on 10 December. The programme embraces a wide range of projects. I understand that the agency has made good progress in implementation of the programme and expects to achieve the target outturn by the end of the current financial year.
