To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 21 April,Official Report, column 109, what contract award procedures applied in the case of the short-listing for the police national network.

§ Mr. Charles Wardle
The procurement of the police national network follows the negotiated procedures set out in article 11(2) (c) of the EC services directive, which comes into force on 1 July.
