To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what plans he has to make representations to the EC in order to reduce United Kingdom net contribution to the common agricultural policy.

As a result of the reform of the common agriculture policy agreed last year, UK receipts under the CAP are likely to increase from 7 per cent. to around 9 per cent. of total expenditure.
