HC Deb 14 April 1993 vol 222 cc633-4W
Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the annual cost of monitoring the religious affiliation of the employees of(a) Enterprise Ulster, (b) the Fishery Conservancy Board for Northern Ireland and (c) the Milk Marketing Board for Northern Ireland.

Mr. Hanley

The annual cost of monitoring in each instance is negligible.

Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people are employed by(a) the Fair Employment Commission, (b) the Northern Ireland tourist board and (c) the Equal Opportunities Commission. it has executive and advisory functions, providing financial and other assistance to a wide range of bodies in connection with sport and physical education.

A new council has recently been appointed, but its role and responsibilities will remain the same, with the exception that, in due course, it will have the additional responsibility of distributing the funds from the national lottery allocated to sport in Northern Ireland.
