§ Mr. DorrellIt is estimated that the annual cost of monitoring the religious affiliation of employees of the board of the Inland Revenue in Northern Ireland is £3,500 based on figures for 1992–93. We are required to undertake monitoring under the Fair Employment (Northern Ireland) Act 1989, but this monitoring also helps us to assess the effectivenes of our equal opportunities policy.
