§ Sir David SteelTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps have been taken by Her Majesty's Government to help ensure that the forthcoming elections in Ghana are free and fair.
§ Mr. Lennox-Boyd[holding answer 29 October 1992]: We have provided approximately £1 million worth of office equipment, electoral booths, and technical co-operation, including electoral officer training, to Ghana's interim national electoral commission. We are also contributing to the cost of a commonwealth electoral monitoring team.
