Table 1.3 of "Defence Statistics 1992" shows a breakdown of the defence budget by programme for the years up to 1991–92, but in order to reflect the way in which defence expenditure is now controlled under the new management strategy, this table has been superseded by table 1.3A showing how the defence budget is distributed among top and high level budget holders.
