HC Deb 28 October 1992 vol 212 c696W
26. Mr. Dafis

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he received a copy of the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, "An Agenda for Peace"; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

The Secretary-General's report, "An Agenda for Peace" was published on 17 June this year. In my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs' speech to the United Nations General Assembly on 22 September he welcomed the report on behalf of the EC and its members as a very important collection of proposals which all United Nations bodies, but notably the General Assembly and the Security Council, should follow up swiftly. I have asked for a copy of this speech to be placed in the Library of the House of Commons.
