To ask the President of the Board of Trade what meetings he has held with(a) the National Union of Mineworkers and (b) the Union of Democratic Mineworkers since 10 April.

Since 10 April, my right hon. Friend has met with the Union of Democratic Mineworkers (UDM) on 4 June and addressed its annual conference on 9 June. I have met with it on 13 May and 22 July and also when it met with the Prime Minister on 30 September. Both my right hon. Friend and I also met the UDM on 19 October. I met with the National Union of Mineworkers on 7 July.
