To ask the Attorney-General if he will make a statement about the staffing of the Crown prosecution service.

The Solicitor-General

In the last 12 months the Crown prosecution service has recruited 194 lawyers, bringing the total complement of lawyers in post to 2,068. The number of administrative staff in post is 4,094.
