§ Mr. Charles WardleI was pleased to note the recent report of Her Majesty's inspector of constabulary which attested to the effectiveness of the existing No. 8 regional crime squad. However, I share the inspector's view that the region would be better served by amalgamating the No. 7 and No. 8 regional crime squads.
