To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has for a special industrial and economic agency for Cambuslang.

My right hon. Friend has no such plans. Responsibility for the industrial and economic development of Cambuslang, as for other parts of its area, rests with the local enterprise company, Glasgow development agency. The enterprise company is free to determine the priorities and resources available to it and which, in the current financial year, amount to more than £58 million.
