To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will publish in theOfficial Report all statements made by the Ministry of Defence on defence procurement matters since 16 July.

Mr. Aitken

My Department has issued three press releases on defence procurement matters since 16 July:

  1. a. 21 July. on greater competition in defence procurement;
  2. b. 29 July, on the seeking of tenders for a new Ocean Survey vessel;
  3. c. 2 August, on a £300 million contract award to British Aerospace for Harrier training aircraft.

I will place copies of these in the Library of the House.
