To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the relative position of Wales on the table of average family incomes compared with other standard regions of the United Kingdom.

Estimates of gross normal weekly household income for Wales and the standard regions of the United Kingdom are shown in the table. The estimates are based on two years results from the 1989 and 1990 family expenditure surveys.
