§ Mr. ForthSince HMI has never inspected all schools on a regular basis, it would be invidious to identify particular local education authorities in which there are schools known to HMI which give cause for concern. The system of regular inspections arranged byOFSTED, which come into operation from September 1993, will ensure that schools failing, or likely to fail, to give their pupils an acceptable standard of education are identified in reports published on all maintained schools every four years.
