HC Deb 25 November 1992 vol 214 c738W
Mr. Bayley

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many times he and his Ministers have spoken to the United States Government on trade matters in the past six months.

Mr. Garel-Jones

We are in regular touch with the United States Government in trade matters. The frequency of these contacts has increased during the British presidency of the EC, particularly in the context of the GATT Uruguay round negotiations, to reinforce the efforts of the European Commission.
