§ Mr. YeoDuring the year ending 31 March 1990—the latest information held centrally—1,032 persons were removed from a public place by the police to a place of safety under section 136 of the Mental Health Act 1983. Information relating to Wales is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
