HC Deb 23 November 1992 vol 214 cc518-9W
43. Mr. Skinner

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster how many representations he has received since 9 April from members of the public about the citizens charter programme; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Jackson

We have since 9 April received nearly 1,500 letters from members of the public referring to the citizens charter. This is a clear indication of the charter's success in encouraging people to demand better, more responsive services.
