§ Mr. SackvilleThe national cancer registration scheme in England and Wales records the incidence of cancers, including all skin cancers combined, and also separately for malignant melanoma and other skin cancers.
At the time of diagnosis, basic data, including individual patient identification, sex, age, permanent residence, site of the cancer, and date of diagnosis, are recorded and sent to regional cancer registries. Regional data are collected and published by the Office of Population, Censuses and Surveys.
