§ Mr. MacleanThe Government intend to prepare a report to the new United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development by the end of 1993. I want us to have a full national debate so that everyone with a concern for the environment can join in with views on how we can balance the need for economic activity with protection of the environment. It will be essential that this House contributes to that debate.
