Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many papers his Department has currently withdrawn from the Public Record Office; if he will list their titles; and when he estimates they will be returned.

Mr. Norris

The Department of Transport holds 21 records withdrawn temporarily from the Public Record Office for current administrative use. The policy is to return records as soon as the relevant department action is completed.

The titles are:
