To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the European social directives concerning the equal treatment of men and women which, at the most recent date, were the subject of infringement proceedings initiated by the European Commission for faulty application; and if he will make a statement.

There are no infringement proceedings under article 169 of the treaty before the European Court of Justice against the United Kingdom in relation to European social directives concerning the equal treatment of men and women.
