§ Mr. Harry GreenwayTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport what works are currently being undertaken on the A40 between the start of Westway and the Target roundabout, Northolt; at what cost; when they are due to be completed; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. NorrisThe Department is not currently undertaking any works along the A40 between the western end of Westway and its junction with the A312, at the Target roundabout. However, it has been necessary to close the nearside lane of the westbound carriageway of the A40 between Alperton lane and Perivale lane since 7 September to enable Southern Electric to replace a high-voltage cable. These works are expected to be completed by early December.
