§ The Prime MinisterThe Government's central objective remains to achieve sustainable and non-inflationary growth. My right hon. Friend the Chancellor set out details of the Government's economic policy in his Mansion House speech of 30 October. He will be announcing the Government's spending plans and publishing a new forecast for the economy in 1993 in the autumn statement.
