HC Deb 10 November 1992 vol 213 c765W
Mr. Ian Bruce

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will make a statement about the availability of dental services within the NHS.

Dr Mawhinney

In general, dental treatment under the national health service is readily available throughout England and Wales. If patients have difficulty in finding a national health service dentist, they will be helped by their family health services authority (FHSA) to obtain treatment. We have urged dentists to think long and hard before taking any steps that would effect their patients or practices.
