§ Mr. Austin MitchellTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food pursuant to his oral statement of 14 July,Official Report, column 1027, on the entry into force of limitations of days at sea, whether the effective steps to be taken by other EC states refers to days at sea limitations or to other means such as decommissioning schemes.
§ Mr. CurryAll member states must agree on multi-annual guidance programme targets. The contribution to be made by effort control and the overall targets themselves are still under discussion. "Effective Steps", therefore refers to action to achieve agreed targets.
