To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many applications for social fund payments have been made in the Euston district office in each month of the past year; and how many were(a) granted money, (b) offered a loan and (c) refused.

The administration of the social fund is a matter for Mr. Michael Bichard, the chief executive of the Benefits Agency. He will write to the hon. Member and a copy will be placed in the Library.
