§ Mr. EggarThere are 37 inward secondees from the private sector currently working in the DTI. My right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade has announced his intention to increase substantially that number by recruiting additional secondees to help in the Department's new industry sector divisions and a further 100 secondees to assist with the promotion of United Kingdom exports.
My right hon. Friend is inviting companies to identify suitable people for these secondments and his aim is to have them in place quickly.
