To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if he will make a statement on the future of the London tourist board.

§ Mr. Key
The London tourist board is an independent, non-statutory body, and I am therefore not in a position to make a statement on its future. I understand, however, that discussions about a proposed merger of the London tourist board and the recently announced London Forum are currently taking place. Given the common interests which these bodies have, I welcome this.
