HC Deb 02 November 1992 vol 213 c63W
Dr. Godman

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will list the names of all emergency or standby vessels which have been ordered in each of the last three years for service in the United Kingdom's offshore oil and gas industry from shipyards located in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Eggar

One new-build emergency or stand-by vessel has been ordered for service in the United Kingdom offshore oil and gas industry in the last three years. The order was placed this year by Seaboard Marine of Aberdeen, with the Yorkshire Dry Dock Company. The vessel is due for delivery in December 1993 and is intended for a long-term charter with Amerada Hess on the Scott field. It has not yet been formally named.
