§ Mr. Lennox-BoydWe are in close touch with our European Community partners and other donors, among whom our concern about human rights in Malawi is widely shared. Last week's consultative group meeting for16W Malawi, held under World bank auspices in Paris, clearly demonstrated the determination of donors to limit new commitments of aid, other than humanitarian assistance in response to the current drought, pending tangible and continuing improvement of the Malawi Government's performance in this area.
