Which government departments, local authorities, statutory and non-statutory bodies will in future have any responsibilities for control or funding of Primrose Hill and the Regent's Canal area; and what will be the method of appointment of any governing bodies concerned?
§ Baroness BlatchThe authorities currently exercising control and financing responsibilities will continue to do so in the future. In particular, Primrose Hill, as a Royal Park, is managed, controlled and financed by the Secretary of State for the Environment, who is appointed by the Prime Minister; and Regent's Canal is the responsibility of the British Waterways Board, whose chairman and members are appointed by the Secretary of State for the Environment.
