HL Deb 29 June 1992 vol 538 c44WA
Lord Harris of Greenwich

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What action they have taken following the report on Frankland Prison by Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Prisons on allegations concerning the treatment of women members of staff.

Earl Ferrers

A local investigation produced no evidence to substantiate the allegations which had been made, but local management continue to monitor the situation.

As part of its programme of action on equal opportunities, the Prison Service will shortly be issuing guidance to staff on the issue of sexual harassment, including the procedures to be followed if staff have a complaint to make about sexual harassment.
