§ Miss WiddecombeThe estimated additional cost of paying United Kingdom retirement and widows pensions to beneficiaries living abroad at the same rate of benefit which they would have been paid had they remained in the United Kingdom is £275 million a year at 1992 rates. A separate figure for retirement pensioners only is not readily available.
