As at 31st March each year since 1988 inclusive, how much space has been open to the public in the buildings at the National Maritime Museum's premises; how many staff have been employed by the museum, expressed as a whole-time equivalent; and how many visitors have visited the museum.

A series of summer exhibitions (May to September) in the East Wing, have occupied additional 6,500 sq ft. Two refurbished galleries will reopen in 1992 occupying 10,700 sq ft.
