§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe welcome the recent restructuring of the United Nations secretariat and the Secretary-General's efforts in this respect, which include 179W the establishment of the new Department of Transnational Corporations and Management. The expectation is that this will lead to an improved focus on priority issues, which are increasingly multi-disciplinary, and a better use of resources and co-ordination of work between the various parts of the secretariat.
