HC Deb 10 June 1992 vol 209 cc209-10W
Mr. Congdon

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if exports of crude oil from the United Kingdom continental shelf will be permited to South Africa following the EC's decision to lift its embargo; and whether United Kingdom companies can now ship oil of other origin to South Africa.

Mr. Eggar

Following the decision taken by EC Ministers on 6 April 1992 to lift the EC embargo on oil movements to South Africa there are no restrictions imposed by the Government on United Kingdom companies exporting oil to South Africa either from the United Kingdom continental shelf or elsewhere.
