§ Mr. SackvilleFigures for the United Kingdom show that no children died from cancer of the thyroid in respect of the period 1986–90. The Department is not aware of any evidence which demonstrates that any medical effects have occurred in the United Kingdom as a result of radiation exposures from the Chernobyl accident.
